Window Cleaning
"Secrets" of
a Professional
By JOHNNY
Yes! You Can Have
"Johnny Clean" Windows
Since
1989, I have been in the professional window cleaning business.
I have had many experiences with all types and sizes of residential
windows. I cleaned the windows on two homes that appeared in Architectural
Digest Magazine. I'll show you how to have "Johnny Clean"
windows.
No Window Cleaning
Schools
Presently, to my knowledge, there are no window cleaning schools
where you can go to learn how to clean windows. Since there are
no schools available, I have done the next best thing. I have made
all of the information available to you. It can be easily downloaded,
right now, from the Internet.
Learn At Home
It is easy to learn at home. You will find
over 200 color pictures in the window cleaning section of the book
along with detailed explanations of every phase of window cleaning.
After you read the book, print out the pages you need. Practice
in the comfort of your home. Take your time. Refer to the instructions.
In no time, you will be getting professional results. You can purchase
the basic tools for less than $30.
Start A Window Cleaning
Business
There is enough information on cleaning windows and how the business
works in the business start-up e-book for you to learn the skills
necessary to be able to start your own window cleaning business, either
full time or part time. You can do it from your home. You do not need
a large sum of money to start. You will earn it back very quickly.
Expenses are not great in the window cleaning business. If you have
a car, you can start right away. Of course, it would be good to practice
on your home windows, before you venture out. That is what I did.
The window washing business makes a good part time job for college
students, while going to school. It makes a good summer job for college
students and high school students. The information also applies to
light commercial storefront businesses. You will find plenty of window
cleaning tips in the book to make you successful. (See the Business
Start-Up Information, a little further down the page, if you want
to start up your own business.)
Glass Cleaning Made
Easy
With the experience of cleaning over 500,000 windows, I wrote this
window cleaning book to teach you how to get your house windows
as dazzling clean as the professionals do. Cleaning windows is easy
when you know how to do it the professional way with professional
window cleaning tools.
Glass cleaning has always been difficult for most people. Wiping
the windows with cloths or newspapers leaves streaks and swirls.
You will learn how to wash windows the easy way using a professional
squeegee.
You will be able to easily clean these types of windows: with a
professional squeegee: casement (crank-out), double-hung, French
windows, trapezoid, triangle, circle, picture, storm windows, and
mirrors. (There is nothing like a streak-free bathroom mirror.)
The window cleaning e-book has been written for both right-handed
and left-handed people. If you are left-handed, there is separate
text and pictures specifically for you. I have made washing windows
easy for everybody to learn.
You can have "Johnny Clean" windows using easy to purchase
professional window cleaning tools.

Business Start-Up
Information
With over fifteen years of experience cleaning windows, I share
how I started and built a wonderful business for myself. It became
a self-sustaining business within two years. I have not had to prospect
for work since then. I am still getting referrals. For the past
eleven years, I have given work away to other window cleaners whom
I helped to get started in this business. I could not handle all
the work.
I know what works and what does not work. I learned
much of it by experience. I share it all with you. Starting a window
washing business is relatively easy. If you can follow directions
and be faithful about it, you can build a successful business. I
have made it easy for you.
You will have job security. Loss of one customer
does not force you to close down. Depending on the mix of residential
and commercial customers, you may have up to 400 customers. Any
time is a good time to start a window washing business.
How Much Can I Earn?
You can easily earn $10-20 per hour starting out.
It is easy to start. You may only want to stay part time. Perhaps,
you will choose to go full time, after you build up your skills.
The national average window cleaning rate is about $45-$50
per hour. That is for a self-employed skilled professional.
Of course, some will earn more and some less, depending their speed,
efficiency, and type of work.
The instructions in the book will help you to quickly gain
the needed skills. You will learn how to build a good window
washing technique from the very start.
With a little practice, you can earn $100 - $200 on a Saturday.
When you are up to full speed, you can earn $300 or more in one
day. Light commercial storefront and residential route work can
range from $10 - $200 per time. Residential work can range from
$50 for cleaning the lower exterior windows up to $600 or more for
a complete interior and exterior job. It all depends on the number
of windows and the difficulty of the work.
You can earn from $25,000 to $40,000 per year, after the
first year, if you are working at it full time. Can you
earn more than that? Yes. I know of some window cleaners who earn
between $45,000 and $60,000 per year. Since they are in the northern
part of America, they work full-time for about ten months.
What to charge is most important. I have included six pages
of detailed information, INCLUDING PRICES, for most every kind of
window. Proper pricing took me a long time to learn. You will have
a great advantage having this valuable information readily available.
There is also a blank estimate form provided for you. Print it out
and use it to bid and keep track of jobs.
How Much Money
Does It Take To Get Started?
Having the right tools when you start is very important. In the
beginning, I wasted time not having the right tools. With approximately
$150, you can purchase three sizes of squeegees, two holsters, professional
razor scrapers, and a scrubber. You will earn the money back quickly.
The right tools keep you from wasting time. You will also look like
a professional. I list the tools with pictures in the business part
of the book. You will need a six-foot stepladder for some of your
jobs, and an extension ladder for the two-story homes.
Plenty of Instructional
Pictures
There are 214 instructional pictures in the window cleaning
section of this e-book just for you. (There are 60 pictures in the
business start-up section.) Each picture has been placed very close
to the written instructions to help you to easily visualize what
you are reading. These pictures show you what to do, as the text
tells you what to do. I have made it very simple for
you to do window cleaning, or window washing; whichever you prefer
to call it.
On the next page (Learn), there is a link you can click to take
you to a Sample Book. You will be able to see a mini-book made up
from the actual pages of Chapter 3 – Squeegee Preparation.
It has 17 pages.
Streak-Free Windows
The First Time
You will do a great job the first time, as you learn the professional
window washing technique. I have included many "CAUTIONS"
so you will not make the mistakes I made. Sparkling streak free
glass is a delight to look through.
Make a simple and effective window washing solution. It
can be done right in your kitchen. A couple of capfuls of certain
dish detergents in a gallon of water will work well. Of course,
you need a squeegee to remove the solution from the glass. That
is where this book comes in. You can learn the proper way to squeegee.
I teach you how to have streak-free windows.
Every window washing tip I could think of is in this book.
There are step-by-step instructions plus Long Form detailed checklists
with all of the window cleaning tips. A Short Form checklist at
the end of a chapter summarizes the steps without all of the detail.
Window Cleaning - "Secrets"
of a Professional and Window
Cleaning - Business Start-Up Manual ebooks reveal
all of the "secrets" I teach to those who want to become
professional window cleaners. Nothing is held back. It is complete.
